What Christian Leaders Are Saying About Overcomer
Last month, we hosted VIP screenings across Canada of the Kendrick brothers' highly-anticipated film, OVERCOMER. Hundreds of leaders and influencers in Langley, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Mississauga attended our screenings and had the chance to view OVERCOMER before it releases nationwide on August 23. Today, we wanted to share what they had to say about this amazing faith film and we hope these initial reviews make you excited for its theatrical release!
- “Very thought provoking and very uplifting” 10/10 - Annamarie Howe, Gilmore Park United Church, Church Staff
- “Poignant and funny. Excellent message of hope for the lost.” 9/10 - Howard Pike, CSB Ministries Men's Network, Ministry Staff
- “An engaging story told with warmth, humour, and the best race footage ever.” 8/10 - April Yamasaki, Speaker, Blogger, Resident Author of a liturgical worship community, Editor of Purpose Magazine
- “It was an inspiring time spent!! I feel it represented the work of the God within the lives of everyday, ordinary people... in other words it was real to life, not just a 'feel good' movie.” 10/10 - Betty Ventresca, Hope Bible Church Oakville, Church Staff
- “It had a clear gospel message and was very moving and impactful. It made me laugh and cry, and it challenged me to find my identity in Christ and to truly put Him first in my life. I loved it!” 10/10 - Janine Hachey, House Church, Worship Leader
- “Wholesome and refreshing unlike most movies offered today. The young and older generation should be able to relate to the story. A good reminder that nothing is nonredeemable, even those with a bad past.” 10/10 - Josephine Kok, Generation Church, Senior Pastor
- “Very emotional and touching story line. Overall, excellent.” 9/10 - Katherine Phan, Toronto Church of Christ, Member
- “Fantastic message great for every age.” 9/10 - Jim Mathew, Fort Richmond Baptist Church, Senior Pastor
- “I enjoyed it! I was a little skeptical as I saw War Room and wondered how they could match or top that. This was an amazing move and I'm already looking forward to more!” 9/10 - Anthony Mitchell, Bayview Glen, Media Volunteer
